Can't beat the features for the price

Finding a 12 gauge cord in a retracting reel is not easy. I've had this one for several years and it's great. Just bought another one for my son-in-law. Beware of the 14 gauge models sold at Sears and other places; they don't deliver the full power you need for serious woodworking tools.
Two reels mounted to my shop ceiling

When I built my shop I had plenty of outlets installed at top of counter height. Since installing two reels on the ceiling I only use the wall plugs for fixed machines against the walls. Reels are heavy duty and durable, are easy to use, and are among the handiest devices in my shop. I've paid much more for tools that are not nearly as useful.

This is heavy duty. I mounted it strongly to the ceiling in the center of my garage. The retraction mechanism works very well and the cord and receptacle are very well made. It is almost the most useful tool I have now.
