Very poor performance

Having seen some of the ‘positive’ reviews I decided to give this tool holder a try. I had planned to use it to hold screwdrivers and replace my pegboard holder that was full. I drilled a new hole so that I could use it with the spacing that I had and installed it. I put the smallest screwdriver on the holder and when I went to place the second I touched the first and it fell. I put it back up and in doing so touched the second one and it fell too. Thinking that the might need additional space I put them on about two inches apart. When I placed the six-inch screwdriver on I watched as it slid down and I caught it as it fell off. Thinking that it might have trouble grasping a round surface I tried a half inch flat chisel that is holding, but the inch and a quarter flat chisel also fell. Had I not drilled the extra hole it would be going back for a refund.

The magnets are not strong enough to hold the tools from dropping off with minor movement. I bought it as a temporary tool holder for a standalone bench but have since relegated to a remote area of the wall. I have 8 chisels on the 18" bar (not crowded). The 1/2" chisel has dropped off several times while removing the adjacent one and I will no longer put the 1/4" chisel on it. This is probably not the item you want if you are planning on actively taking the tools on and off.

Disappointing. No "grab" to the magnet, and limited holding power. Large screwdriver falls off.

I have three different kinds of magnetic tool holders. I returned this one because the part that holds the tool is two tiny strips of metal that stick out from the magnet. It would not even hold a screwdriver very securly.

Nice looking, very effective, beats similar items costing 2 - 3 times as much.
