replacing casters on Shopfox moble base and would like to know measurement between holes to see if it will match?

BEST ANSWER: I too purchased these to replace the casters on my Shop Fox mobile base. The answer as to will they fit is yes and no. No, they will not fit directly since the swing on the swiveling casters is too great and they will not swing 360 degrees. I was able to solve the problem by leaving the caster housing on the Shop Fox, removing the old wheels, bushing, and axels and then using the new wheels and axles to replace them. They fit well only 4 bolts and it seems to work fine. I just wish that I had caught this before I had removed all 4 casters and replaced 3 of them!

Great Locking Casters
I would highly recommend these heavy duty swivel, locking casters. I was looking for better 3" casters than I had on some of the light weight rolling carts I have and decided to try these Rockler casters. I am not disappointed. I would guess the cabinet weighs close to 200# with tools and accessories in it and you can push it extremely easy. I purchased the plate mount but they also have a stem mount if you need them. Item # 38865

Awesome heavy duty locking casters for my new flip top planer, spindle sander cabinet. Thumbs Up!

the right caster
All but my Powermatic table saw are on wheel casters just like the item shown above. They are heavy duty and confident of their ability to cary the heavy weight load of any cabinet or shop equipment in my small shop.

Locking wheels
I used these wheels on my workbenches ! Real handy to be able to move heavy benches around the shop for many reasons like dropped tools, cleaning the floor, big projects that require things to be spread out, etc. Very heavy duty.. I would buy again

Smooth operation, durable
Wheels have a nice solid feel to them. They don't spin loosely around the support, but they do spin smoothly. Locking mechanism stops both wheel rotation and prevents the casters from turning. Set of 4 is nicely holding up a miter saw support unit filled with wood and tools.

locking Casters work well
I bought a set of these to complete a customers mobile Linen cabinet order. They are heavy enough for everday use and were very easy to install. I like the easy lock and unlock system and was very proud to offer this type of casters for the customer.
they roll easy and stay locked.
I would both purchase again as well as recommend them to others for applications needing casters.

Casters
I was building an outfield table for my new table saw and wanted to make sure I put on a nice set of casters as the project would serve as an assembly table as well. The Rockler casters were even better than I expected. They roll really smoothly and the locks are very easy to switch from the locked and unlocked position. I have tried other casters that almost require a hammer to switch positions. Really happy with the product.

Without a doubt the best looking looking and performing caster that I have run into. I purchased the casters based on how it looked in the catalogue and the reputation of Rockler. I guess you may say I took chance and was not disappointed in the least.

I used six of the swivel...
I used six of the swivel mount casters on a 6'x2-1/2' homemade base to a cabinet in which I store my LPs and CDs. There are more than 500 of each and the aggregate weight on the base exceeds one-half ton. Previous casters crumbled and gave out after but short use. These from Rockler have not only borne the weight but, on a carpeted surface, they nicely swivel and permit movement of the cabinet as needed.

After 15 years in the new garage, I purchased the fixed and swivel casters for my Table saw. The perfect fit for my shop, works great with a new 8' outflow table. The height of the caster was a concern but once they were installed....what a waste of 15 years!

I have used these in the past (both post style and plate mount)for making my bandsaw, drill press, and router table mobile so I can move them around the shop. They roll smoothly, lock firmly, and provide a stable base for these tools. They do add some height (around 3 1/2" to 4 1/2") to the tool depending on type(post or plate) and size of wheel so be sure to measure for finished height before buying.

Sturdy reliable Casters
I have several pair of these casters and am very pleased with them. If I had to offer a negative comment, unless the casters are mounted fairly close to the outside edge of whatever that are being used for, it is very difficult to get a foot onto the locking lever to secure the coaster. I had to remount a couple of times, and they work as advertised. I'd certainly buy again.

These work really well!
I'm using these to replace the casters that came on a foldable trailer because the ones it came with came apart when I rolled the trailer over an expansion joint in my garage. These have worked great. They roll smoothly and get over the expansion joints in the cement fairly easily. The only thing that I'd like is a variety of non-lock stem casters because there are 2 places where there is a piece of metal that gets in the way of the casters and if they didn't have the lock, it wouldn't be an issue.

locking casters
I bought a Jet 1221VS lathe from Rockler in Arlington, TX, but could not afford the stand. So, I used a glu-lam and steel angles that my son and grandson gave to me to built a movable, steady and heavy cart. The casters have worked just as I hoped they would. The only thing that I might have done differently would have been to purchase the next size larger, but it doesn't appear that these will present any issues.

Grill upgrade
I replaced the OEM casters on my new grill with these. Much easier to move the grill now because my patio is aggregate and they roll very smoothly over the stone.

These are great casters and I...
These are great casters and I would have given them a 5 rating, but the specification says that the overall height is 4". After mounting two swivel plate casters, p/n 33868, I find that the total height is 4 1/8", not 4 inches.I bought two to retrofit a 6 ft long workbench that I built over 10 years ago. This bench sagged about an eight of an inch, and I bought these to get the bench back to level. Now I will have to shim up the original four casters by 1/8 inch. I'm not pleased about that.

Break after a couple years
I purchased this set (of four casters) to replace casters on 3 carts that had one caster on each broken. The polyurethane part of the wheel breaks apart and off.
That said, I still recommend them because of the "full lock" feature keep the cart or table from wiggling if you use conventional casters.

oversized holes
These seem well made, but the mounting holes are oval, .325 X .505, which is OK if you're attaching them to your bench with railroad spikes. Otherwise, you have to use fender washers under the screw head. That works on the rigid casters, but on the swivel version, there isn't enough clearance for a standard 3/16 fender washer, which has an outside diameter of 1.0". I had to use 1/8 ID X 3/4 OD washers and ream the holes.

Five years
After five years on a kitchen cart, one of the outer ring (the black part) came apart--into peices as if it was rotten. I had to replace with the same because of the height. The overall height is 4 1/8 inches!

I bought 4 of these (stem-mount)...
I bought 4 of these (stem-mount) about three years ago, to use on a clamp dolly I built. I was very happy with them until today, when the polyurethane outer wheel just went to pieces on one of them. All four are loaded at at-most 1/2 their rated weight. The floor they roll on is hard and smooth. /p>

Tire Falls Apart
Buyer beware! Tire does NOT last!
I have four of these under a portable downdraft table which weighs roughly 100 lbs. Just one caster is rated at 240 lbs. The MOST that this table ever gets moved is 4 feet in any direction over a smooth concrete floor.
What is worse, I replaced a previous set of these very same 4 casters that had done the very same thing. Before purchasing this current set, I was ASSURED by the salesman that the defect had been corrected.
Obviously not! VERY disappointed.
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Expect to buy retreads for them after a while.
I am not sure it is the same castor since mine are red, but the poly fractured and came off like a semi truck retread after a few years. Totally unacceptable at the premium price they get

Polyurethane tire is defective,won't last.
For the last 25 years I have tried every manufacturer that I could find at every price range from $7- $27 a piece and they all fail in a 18month to 3year time span. The polyurethane rim cracks and comes off. Moving a 200 lb. drill press off of a stand to replace the casters every 18 months gets old. I have original casters on my table saw that are 20 years old and still function perfectly but what they are made of I have no idea. I spend about $200 a year replacing this.

Urethane tire crumbles and falls off after a couple years
Have these on my router table and on my wood working bench. Absolutely loved them until about 6 months ago the red urethane tires crumbled and fell apart. So I'm faced with replacing 8 of these.

I used four of these casters...
I used four of these casters on a shopmade router table cabinet, and would never use them again. Every single time I attempt to move the cabinet, the two wheels on the the side furthest away from the push/pull force always decide to set themselves at about a 30 degree angle from the direction I am trying to move the cabinet. The result is that I have to exert considerable sideways force to get the cabinet to travel the direction I want. This is very annoying.
