I learned a lot aboud my bandsaw with this fence
It never occurred to me that no blade cuts straight . . . and that the fence is seldom if ever absolutely parallel to the actual desired cut. The instructions alone are worth the price of the fence. Great tool.

Simple, easy to use, but effective
I got this guide only a couple of days ago, and have used it several times since then. I attached it to my Jet 14" band saw and immediately found that the guide would not fit unless the upper blade guide was removed. That had little or no effect on the operation.
It is essential to accurately set the guide absolutely parallel to the blade. Also, using a 1/2" wide blade makes it very easy to maintain a straight, even cut.
I am using the guide to re-saw 1 x 4 x 3/4 spruce into 5/16" slices for small boxes. It works like a charm. It takes me about one minute to split a piece 6" long. I also cut the occasional piece of 1 x 8 x 3/4.
I was previously doing my re-sawing on a table saw which could not cut stock more than 6-1/2" wide. With the guide I can go through a piece of 1 x 8 x 3/4 with a single pass, although it is the absolute maximum the saw will handle.
I have just ordered the shorter 4-1/2" re-saw guide which will let me reinstall the upper guide for cuts shorter than 6-1/2".
I highly recommend this little guide; it is well worth the money.
