made from osage-orange or bodock, we always called them hedge apple trees.
Although Osage isn't hard to find in this area it unusual to find a tree the size of the one given to me for this project. Osage takes really sharp tools to work well and small bites when routing. I plan to use a satin poly finish,and paste wax. will post a new pic when finished.
