This is a six-compartment tea box in goncalo alves and movingui (a.k.a. African satinwood). The inner boxes are maple, with lids from bloodwood, walnut, zebrawood, bubinga, purpleheart, and wenge. The knobs are cocobolo, and the feet are tulipwood.
The boxes were finger jointed with the Woodsmith Box Joint Jig (The new jig from Rockler wasn't out yet, but it's better), and the big box was lined with a velvet covered cardboard bottom. The maple inner boxes are unfinished on the insides (tea is a flavor and odor sponge), and the rest is all finished with lacquer.

Time to Build: 6-20 Hours    Difficulty: Easy

"I have made several online orders from Rockler, and the customer service has been great. While I have not had an unreasonable number of complications, I have had a few. Each time the folks at Rockler were very quick to respond, easy to work with and resolved the issue in the best way imaginable. Many thanks! I will be a customer for many years to come."
