I made this carbon fiber pen from scraps left over from my prosthetic leg. It took me ten tries to get it flat enough to fit the pen hardware. I cast it in resin and very carefully turned it down being careful not to dig into the fiber, and boy is it close but I am so happy with the result. The olive wood pens are a hit with family and friends at the holidays. Boy what beautiful wood. I like to go to Rockler and select it myself, to get the best figured wood I can. The golf pen was an accident. I was shopping with my wife at the craft store and ran across this paper that looked just like the fairway turf. this pen is also cast in resin. Projects were fun and easy to do except the carbon-fiber pen took some patience.
"Have been a return customer for a number of years, and a recent experience has really cemented that bond for me. After using my Rockler lighted magnifying lens for a few months, one of the wires from the battery pack came loose. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire about sending the unit back, they instead sent me a brand new one - no questions asked, no return expected, no charge whatsoever. This simple step - coupled with top quality, innovative products - ensured my repeat business more than any other advertising technique or gimmick could ever do.
Keep up the good work, Rockler!" -
