I wanted to create something that would really get peoples attention, so I though it would be neat to have a table with a hand coming out of one corner holding a hiking cane - forming the forth leg. The table employs traditional joinery with the exception of the hand mounting method. The most difficult step was precisely sculpting the cutout where the irregularly-shaped arm protrudes through the apron corner. Also difficult was fitting the 2-piece cane to the contours of the carved hand. The hand is carved from a catalpa branch, the top and legs are walnut and the apron is cherry with live edges, and one knot hole.

Time to Build: 51-100 Hours    Difficulty: Very Difficult

"I purchased 4 sets of Steel Table Legs at a huge discount! More than 50% off compared to what I thought was already a good deal from another online store. Had to cancel that one and thankful I found this site. My hours of searching online paid off. "
