Sculpture Pen and Matching Box made with Ipe
A straight forward made pen with matching box.
They both are made from Ipe (Honduran Cherry) which is a beautiful, very hard wood (that finishes to an absolutely beautiful shine).
The box was routed with a core box bit for the pen with a jig I made and then routed on my router table, top and bottom of both sides with a beading bit for a decorative, high end look.
I used the 5mm barrel hinges for the box.
