I built this table for my wife earlier this year and by far it was the most pain staking task still to date the top is solid poplay 1x8 biscuit jointed together the side band and clips that secure the top to the bands are poplar as well i did not make the legs they are store bought from the lumber yard I work at, I wrapped the bands around the legs because I do not have a mortiser or a tenoning jig but I thought it still turned out real nice.
