This is an excellent project for the young craftsman that want to get their feet wet. The parts for the mail truck can be found at Rockler and the plans were free from Rockler, also. The project was straight forward with most of the parts easy to machine with a table saw and jig saw. I have access to a band saw, which made cutting the fenders a snap. Be ready to do a lot of sanding to make the fender nice and smooth. I used red oak for the entire project, since I like oak, but the fenders would look great with walnut or some type of contrasting dark wood. This project is for my three year old grandson.
