All the supporting members are made of poplar joined with a biscuit joiner. The panels are tongue and groove 1x4x3/8" panel strips installed in slots routed in the poplar frames all around the box. The top is 1/2" cabinet grade plywood overhanging sides and front. The bottom is also 1/2" cabinet grade plywood resting on a ledge.
