Finished table, after 10 coats of tung oil on the top, 4 everywhere else

after one coat of 50% tung oil / 50% mineral spirits

This is my first woodworking project: a black walnut Nakashima-inspired coffee table. My wife and I wanted a Nakashima style table, only to find they are quite expensive. With some instruction from my father-in-law I worked on practice pieces before each step on the actual working piece. I am happy to say I did everything myself. I did a lot of research and wanted to replicate the process that Nakashima went through.

Time to Build: 21-50 Hours Difficulty: Moderate
