This was a family effort. We did it in my fathers basement shop. This help me and gave us something to give back to my father for a life of giving and of love. We used the dimension the funeral home gave us for the max. size. It fitted in the vault perfectly. We were inspired by my father cousin casket. Using no stain just a clear coat and two diffident woods to make the color. We used Red Oak, Red Oak plywood, and Mahogany. Then applied Seal Coat and then a clear top coat. We pocket holed the plywood box and used biscuits for the lid.
