I crafted this 3 in 1 crib for my first child because I did not like the price for quality of what I saw in stores and I thought that would be a fun project. This is first piece of furniture that I have crafted and went surprisingly smooth. The design is similar to others I have seen posted but I made a few changes of my own to add symmetry and to correct what I saw as a design flaw. First I added another stat to the sides and two to the front and back to even numbers out. Next I modified the sliding hardware for the bottom of the gate as in the up position the gate would have stuck out a quarter to half inch and that was unacceptable. Also I personally feel the hardware is cheap and would have preferred to pay more for better quality. This was a rather enjoyable project that took too long to make due to it being my first piece of furniture and my desire to make a quality piece. Stain is Early American with 3 good coats of satin poly.
