I first saw the turquoise inlay in the Rockler store in Arlington TX. I just had to do something with turquoise in it. I have made several boxes. The inlay is easier than you may think. I took larger stones and crushed them to make gravel/sand. I glued them in the pre-carved cracks and groves with gel supper glue. When the glue was dry I sanded 120,220,440 and then buffed with white buffing compound. Great Fun!
"I live in NJ, and wish there was a physical store near where I live. My experience with rockler.com is second to none. Not only are your products first rate, but customer service/product support is exceptional. I've called several times, and never received someone on the other end of the phone who was anything but extremely helpful, patient, and friendly. The biggest compliment I can give is that I TRUST Rockler for all my woodworking needs. The only other store I can say that about is LL Bean. My wood working friends in western NJ love Rockler. Keep on keepin' on - and get a store here in Jersey!!" -
