I designed this myself, and after laying it out, most of the wood was cut with a 7 1/4 skill saw. sanding was by hand, and then several coats of paint. White pine is easier to work with. I cut the rockers out of 2x8 yellow pine. I find this a heirloom my granddaughter will have for many years, I plan on building her a doll cradle to match this one. This cradle also won a first place award over many other projects. See my other projects at babyCradles-woodthings.blogspot.com

"I live in NJ, and wish there was a physical store near where I live. My experience with rockler.com is second to none. Not only are your products first rate, but customer service/product support is exceptional. I've called several times, and never received someone on the other end of the phone who was anything but extremely helpful, patient, and friendly. The biggest compliment I can give is that I TRUST Rockler for all my woodworking needs. The only other store I can say that about is LL Bean. My wood working friends in western NJ love Rockler. Keep on keepin' on - and get a store here in Jersey!!"
