Cocobola, pupleheart, 1/4 sawn white oak and African padauk. First exotic project, first box project,finished with teak oil. The purpleheart was hard to manipulate, the padauk was more workable, sometimes splintering when working with smaller peices. Cocobola is a wonderful wood, equiped with its own natural oils. I would recomend an oil finish for cocobola, surface finishes may not adhere to the oily texture of wood.
