I built this from furniture grade plywood, maple, has a drop down leaf, 2 drawers and shelf. Top is 60x28, leaf is 57x20, one side short to have a place for a floor lamp trim is oak. The banding was done with tongue&groove router bit. Leaf connected with continuous hinge. Leaf support are shop made and fold in. Top and leaf are covered with Formica. It has a sewing machine lift and a surge protector power strip for her sewing machine. Drawers where made with drawer lock router bit. I did not have a plan and made rough drawings of what the wife wanted. My first project of something good. Things I would change: drop the shelf a little lower to house a serger Leaf supports I bought later may still put them on.
Note! the surge protector is a need if the sewing machine has a computer in it It also has a 15 foot cord on it that I made a storage box for and exits in the back of the cabinet. The rewards are priceless since this will be an heirloom piece to pass down. Sewing lift and hardware used where bought at Rockler ecept the antique knobs on drawer.
