Cherry Dining Table and 4 Slat Ladder Back Chairs

Table is a 10 pane window style with figured cherry as the glass and straight grain cherry as the muntons and mullions. The figured cherry was resawn in 3/16" panels from one 10', 5/4 piece of highly figured cherry and then glued piece by piece to the dividers. When the pieces were fully glued into a single panel they were glued to a 3/4" substrate and a 1/4" opposing panel using a vacuum bag. The 4 slat ladder backs were made in the traditional style using traditional techniques of steambending legs and slats and then finishing with rasps and spokeshaves. The weaving of the chair seats and the matching weaving on the table legs is a chevron design using Tennesee hickory bark.
