Bench Cookie® Cones Customer Review Rating: 5.0
Dustin - Lino Lakes, MN  (May 17, 2013)

At just a few bucks, no shop should be without a couple sets of Bench Cookie Cones. I've used the Bench Cookies since they were introduced several years ago with great success, and these are a great addition.  The small plastic "pyramids" are prone to tip, slide, and fall off the bench. The weight, grip and large footprint of the Bench Cookie combined with the superior design of the Cone make this an ideal solution for supporting work pieces while applying finish.

48'' Aromatic Red Cedar Planking 12-Pack Customer Review Rating: 1.0
James Jennings - Amarillo, Tx  (May 17, 2013)

Just bought 3 boxes to line a chest I built. Figured I bought 1 too many but glad I did. Out of 3 boxes I had just enough to line chest. So many really crooked planks that weren't useable, tongue and grooves split and broken off, and knot holes in the ones that were straight. I do not recommend this product if you care how the final results look. I won't buy this again.

Dust Right® Master System Customer Review Rating: 3.0
JS - Sussex , Wi  (May 17, 2013)

I've had this system for about 4 months and use it a lot I also have a bench brush. The unit handle work good for maneuvering around with a 4 inch hose and the flexible hose is a lot more forgiving. I like the 4 inch because I'm picking up sawdust and chips and the large tube lowers the velocity but improves the volume. This leaves behind large chunks of wood and also screws etc. I gave it a 3 because the snap together handle popped apart a couple of times and I eventually used instant glue to hole them together.

Dust Right® Dust Separator Customer Review Rating: 4.0
Dorie - Monona, IA  (May 16, 2013)

I bought my Dust Right dust separator to go with a planer. The separator works just like it should and was easy to assemble, but it still has some flaws. After planing some oak, I got quite an electric shock when I tried to empty the blue canister. In addition to electrical shocks, static electricity made it almost impossible to twist off the lid. This step was more difficult than it needed to be since there isn’t anything to hold when twisting the lid from the canister. I made a jig to make this task a little less frustrating and used permanent marker to indicate the open position. Secondly, the blue canister leaked at the seam of the two parts. Some duct tape solved this issue. Thirdly, the shop vac hose fit loosely into the inlet port on the canister. Again, some duct tape solved this issue. Lastly, I agree with other reviewers who said the canister is top heavy and tilts over. Overall, the Dust Right dust separator does a great job of collecting shavings and keeping the shop vac from filling up too quickly. Also, the separator is much easier to empty than a regular dust collector. I’m still glad I bought the separator, but due to the flaws mentioned above, especially the static electricity issue, I would rate it as 4 stars rather than 5.

Lift-O-Mat® Gas Spring Lid Support Customer Review Rating: 3.0
Dennis Stalzer - Austin, Tx  (May 15, 2013)

I installed the Lift-O-Mat N100 Gas Springs on a cabinet door with a mirror on it in my travel trailer. They worked extremely well for more than 2 years, but the springs have weakened over time and now they will not support the door with the mirror and only will hold the door about half way open.

Drawer Lock Router Bit Customer Review Rating: 3.0
Evan - Canberra, Act  (May 15, 2013)

Draw lock bit? It's a bit of a challenge to set it up properly. I'm not going to comment on this point. What I want to comment on is that this bit makes an EXCELLENT draw slide creator. It is a bugbear to get hyper sub millimetre exact for draw joints, but if you are to use this to make a pseudo-draw slide joint it is perfect. I will still attempt to use it for its original purpose though.

Mixing Mate® Paint Lid, Gallon Size - Stir, Pour, and Store! Customer Review Rating: 5.0
Bob O'Brien - Gig Harbor, Wa  (May 14, 2013)

I purchased the quart and gallon Mixing Mates and have used both. They are an incredible addition to my painting tool cache. The are well made and easy to assemble. I used both on a bar cabinet wall which required several days between paint coats and loved the way I could leave the lids in place and not have to take them off. I found that the mixer worked better than using a drill and mixer bit and also love the way the spout seals between pours. Most of all, I like being able to pour as little paint and not mess up the paint can lid or even spill paint all over the side of the can. The handle has a good feel and with the lid clamps in place, I know I'm not going to spill paint. These items are worth every penny.

Rockler 3/8'' Dowel Drilling Jig Kit Customer Review Rating: 1.0
Chris - Las Vegas, nv  (May 14, 2013)

Could use it for a dog house but not for furniture. I thought this might work as sometimes there is not space for a full jig. 1- the plastic part of this jig flexes and the the resulting hole will will measure big and sloppy. 2-  the 3/8 dowels just too large for 3/4 stock, it leaves only 3/16 left per side. 3- difficult to clamp as the plastic is beyond slippery. Outcome-clamped it hard enough to crack the plastic then through it in the trash. Save your money.

Behlen Rockhard™ Table Top Varnish Customer Review Rating: 4.0
Tim Devin - Arlington, VA  (May 13, 2013)

Rating this product as very good for the moment, as it is the 'new formula' and I have yet to let it fully cure in order to compare it to the 'old cooked formula'. Using the gloss on a quartersawn sapele extension dining table. Applied 4 washcoats of 1.5# cut super blonde shellac sanding w/ 220 in between. Ten applied 3 coasts of the varnish (thinned 25%), letting each coat cure 1 week, sanding w/ 320 and reapplying next coat. Finally applied 3 full strength coats, following same process. Last coat was very heavy and flowed on with a 3" badger brush. Settled and self-leveled very nicely with minimal nibs. Now going to wait 4-6 weeks to fully cure, then try buffing with Menzerna FG400/SI1500/SF4000 or 4500. Then we'll know how well it compares to the old formulas - which could be buffed to a mirror finish.

Diamond Hone Sharpening Set Customer Review Rating: 3.0
Jim - Garland, tx  (May 13, 2013)

I gave these 3 stars, almost went with 2 and could have gone to 4 stars. Do I sound confused? Here’s why: Pros: Very nice price , Work great right out of the box, Small and easy to work with, the overall dimensions allow use in tight spaces . I keep mine hanging on the router table so I can give bits a quick hone prior to use. Cons! this is why I rated it a 3 and almost a 2. The diamond surface just does not last very long. I lubricated {water} prior to every use and always cleaned off residue. As an estimate {very crude one} I put a useful life of a dozen or so touch up of carbide bits before you can noticeably feel the diamond surface has degrade. Will I buy again? Maybe – they are inexpensive and convenient, just wish they held up better.

"Every time I have been in a Rockler store around the country I have left feeling that I received wonderful service and most always had exactly what I needed in stock at a fair to great price. the only complaint, if it can be called that, is that I have to drive over 45 minutes to reach the nearest Rockler store. My wife probably appreciates that distance, as I am certain that if one was as close as I wished it to be, we would have very little left in our checkbook!"
