Elegant Manhattan Ballpoint Pen Hardware Kit - Chrome w/Satin Chrome Accents |
Paul Decker - Auburn, WA
(May 6, 2013) This is one of my favorite pen sets. I prefer a heavier pen and this pen kit meets the requirements! All of the Manhattan kits are great but this one I turned a piece of canarywood and it looks awesome with this kit! |

Urethane Band Saw Tires |
Evan - Canberra, Act
(May 6, 2013) Getting decent wood gear in Australia is a very tough ask, so when I found these new tires on my favourite site :}. I was very pleased indeed. Fitting was via hot water, 2 clamps and a flat screwdriver. They were pretty tight and required some vigour to get on, but once over the rim they settled in beautifully. Just ran my fingers around the edges to pop them in place and all was solved. Very happy with this purchase. |

Power Air Respirator |
Randy L. - Libertyville, IA
(May 5, 2013) Wow! I'm amazed at just how good this product is. A friend recommended it and because I was tired of the discomfort of wearing paper masks I thought I'd give it a try. I have asthma and finish sanding has always caused asthmatic issues. I'm very pleased with the filtering and the supply of fresh, cool air regarless of how close I get to the work. I wear eyeglasses but didn't experience any interference from the mask. My lenses are smaller and rectangular shaped, so that may be why I didn't experience any interference problems. I don't have any negative comments for this product (other than it went on sale about a week after my purchase). I wish I had bought one a long time ago. |

Peacock Acrylic Handle Blank |
Jenny Trice - Hugo, mn
(May 5, 2013) I bought this product for a pizza cutter handle. The cast block had rough edges that prevented me from putting it into my four jaw chuck. I made the mistake of putting it between centers and chipped about a one inch piece off of both ends. It was very brittle and seemed to have quite a few air bubbles in it. I squared it up on the band saw (which I should have done first) and rounded it up but by then, it was too short for the pizza cutter handle. Very disappointing. |

Surface Mounted Hinge. |

Tom H - Chisago City, MN
(May 5, 2013) These may work well if you are building a chest or bin of very small size. With a 22" x 48" lid they would not snap closed nor stay open. Also, the hardware holes assume you are only going to use the provided screws. If you want a bolt-through mount, they will hit the mechanism on the inside. . |

Magnetic Cord Keepers |
John - Hamlin, NY
(May 5, 2013) I have several of these "cord holders". It is difficult to attach to a cord, but once on, works great. I can't keep a pencil within eye shot for more than 10 seconds. I now have pencils on all my machines thanks to magnets. For one purpose or the other, they work! I like them. |

Red/Yellow Buckeye Burl Pen Blank |
Rick Nath - Sioux Falls, SD
(May 4, 2013) I only give this product a fair because what I received and what was displayed were not even close. The rounded example told me their was good color throughout the stabilized piece but upon getting it, it was really only red and nothing like the picture very disappointing. I understand there are color variances but this was not even close and having seen how it turned out I would have never ordered it. |

Leigh R9 Plus Joinery System |
Chris Bell - Newnan, GA
(May 3, 2013) I have just completed building the beam for this tool. For the most part it went well. There were a couple of issues with the instructions and blueprint. They could have been a little more clear on a couple of hole locations. Be very careful by double and triple checking these. The big issue is the quality of the #8 by 1 1/4" screws that are included. Very poor quality. Even with pre-drilling the holes, the head twisted off of one screw and the screwdriver slots began tearing away in others. I would expect when buying a Leigh jig that the screws included would be higher quality than this. Do yourself a favor. Throw these in the trash when you open it and buy some good quality screws to replace them. I now have to try to extract this. It will not be easy. I will add more after I get to actually try cutting dovetails and box joints. |

Behlen Top Coat Lacquer and Sanding Sealer |
Keith - Front Royal, VA
(May 2, 2013) I ordered one can of sanding sealer and four cans of the satin gloss for my project. This is an excellent lacquer. I am very pleased with the way it lays down, and the resulting finish. Even without subsequent high-grit sand-outs, the finish is great. However, there is one thing that keeps me from giving this a higher rating. When a can is first used, the results are great. However, for three of the cans, even after clearing the nozzle as recommended, subsequent uses resulting in "spitting" - blobs of lacquer along with the fine spray. Once this is on the surface, there is nothing to do about it except let it dry and then sand it out. It's a really horrible feeling when you see this happening. I addressed the problem by removing the spray nozzles and soaking them in lacquer thinner between uses. I had no more spitting problems when reusing a can with this approach. Still, I recommend you test spray a piece of cardboard or newsprint before you turn the spray on your project. If you get blobs, you'll save yourself some sanding. |
