Overview

The largest, flattest, most durable router table on the market! This cast-iron behemoth measures 32" x 24" x 1-1/2" thick and weighs nearly 100 pounds. That heft dampens vibration like no other, resulting in the smoothest possible operation. And with a host of premium features, impeccable construction and one-piece construction, the ProMax delivers professional router table performance that will last for generations.

Recommended for use with the Rockler Steel Router Cabinet with Dust Bucket (41427, sold separately) or the Rockler Router Table Steel Stand (48426, sold separately).

Premium features of the ProMaxRT:

  • Offers more than five square feet of work surface
  • Dual-Track (with Universal T-track AND standard miter slot) is machined directly into the table's surface - true one-piece construction.
  • Houses virtually any router on the market with large 8-1/4" x 11-3/4" router plate opening.
  • 12-point plate-leveling and locking system maintains a perfectly flush surface and prevents the plate (sold separately) from shifting during a cut.

Please Note: For best results, combine Bench Dog® tables with Bench Dog® accessories. Mixing components between brands may require additional hardware to ensure they work together appropriately.

An absolute necessity for the garage...

An absolute necessity for the garage workshop... This extension hooked right up to my table saw without as much as a single problem. Leveling was dead on from the factory. I had a stack of metal shims ready and didn't use a single one. Besides being a rock solid router table it adds an extra 5" of width over my cast iron factory extension. This has come in really handy for working with larger pieces. Oh, and adjustment of the router insert isn't too bad either.I have to admit, I was really skeptical about this item. I would never have thought it would have turned out this good. Highly recommend it if you're cramped for space like me.

This router table provides a perfectly flat table surface. Several of my previous projects have suffered from non-flat sagging surface caused by a heavy router. The cast iron table eliminates any trace of sag.The weight of the router table top also helps the stability of the entire router table structure. I mounted it on top of an older Bench Dog cabinet style router table on a mobile base, and the extra weight helps keep the unit in place. Router vibration is significantly reduced and now has the feel (and accuracy) of a shaper.

Great product, great value, but...

Okay, perhaps I'm on the picky side. I'm a machinist.

It needs some holes precisely bored, and precisely located back from the t-slot for fixture locates, I'll add at least four to mine, and it wouldn't hurt for the slots near the outside edges to be precisely milled perpendicular to the T-slot and at a precise width so that keys in the fixtures can be used as sliders. I might live for another 30 years and these little inefficiencies add up. Add these features standard for another $100 bucks and I'd happily pay.
I have a CNC machining center so I'll make the changes once I figure out what I want as far as hardened liners for the bores.
BTW, I'm attempting to pickup my second table from Rockler so that I can use one for rails and one for stiles when needed. Oh, and the Woodpecker lift mounting plate for the Bench Dog table doesn't fit, so I modified it, and I have a second lift on the way that I will have to modify as well. Using Porter-Cable 7518 router motors in both with Kreg switch controls. I have a very sturdy welded frame that I'm repurposing to mount both of these on.
Not a true shaper, sure, but for all but the most heavy duty applications, I expect that it will work out very well.
