    Best I've found

Just rebuilding my shop and I purchased 5 different brands of clamp. The Bessies are the ones that the off brands are copying. Castings are nice and crisp, unlike the multiple generation casts that are blurry copies. The Bessies stand firmly on their backs, something that the off brands couldn't all do. The wrinkle finish paint is crisp and baked on, off brands are dip painted. The clutch action is crisp with no locking issues, some of the others require you to hold the slider while tightening, taking up one extra hand on what is already a three handed operation. Overall the best of the bunch!

These clamps are good quality and the price was right while on sale. I am very disappointed in many of the clamps I order because so many of them have the "non-marring pads" that have something impregnated in them that leaves residue on projects that then has to be sanded out and it is not always easy. Amazing that these pads can't be better quality by now. Have to use something in-between project and clamp so a stain is not left behind.

    Underwhelmed

On sale, good price and value. Good clamps but was expecting a notch higher quality from others in the market. Handles are spindly and not great for gripping. From all good comments about Bessey, I was expecting a screw that was more robust but it and all the parts were ordinary to what is out there.
