Saw Norm Abrahm use this method to connect face frames to some cabinets. I used it to attach a bullnose moulding to a base on a chest I am building. Works great for attaching frames, edging, etc.

Sadly missing instructions have people assembling this in the wrong sequence. The correct sequence, starting at the bottom is washer - cutter - washer - bearing - nut. If you put the washer on top, the bearning will be jammed against the cutter. Therefore it will turn with the cutter and smoke the wood.

Excellent product! Cuts effortlessly and gives a very clean slot. Bisucits fit perfectly and give a secure joint. What I really like about this method is that the 2 halves that are being joined line up perfectly for gluing, which has not been the case for me using mortise/tenons or dowels. The biscuits are also much easier to use although I would expect the joints may not be as strong as these other methods. For my application, joining 45 deg corners on a fireplace hearth this was the best and, perhaps, only way to go.
