Great item. Installed the guides on my Jet saw in less than an hour. It took more time to disassemble the old parts than to install the new parts. Guide adjustment was a piece of cake.

The directions are, yes, sparse, but they convey the basic replacement process. I would agree that one 8.5x11" page with close-ups and more text might help.I completed the swap-out in about an hour. A good portion of which was taken up by nearly having to chisel out the screws holding the Delta's lower guide mounting bar to the table. I needed a hammer and an old screwdriver to break the slotted-head screws loose. Delta... you might consider hex-head bolts some day...One small gripe with the Carter guides is that it would be wonderful if they could include the TWO different-sized hex-head wrenches needed to install and adjust the bearing guides. And/or just tell us what sizes will be needed.Overall, installation was straightforward and lots cleaner, neater and simpler than the original guides. Very nicely engineered and machined.anyone need any slightly-used Delta 14" blade guide hardware with almost-new alumina blocks? :Also, the bearing faces seem to pick up sticky residue from wet wood. How about some cleaning and "care and feeding" directions, Carter?Overall: Excellent!

I purchased these for my circa 92 Delta BS and installed them in about an hour, including adjustments for cutting.Removing the old guides was the hardest part. You do have to fuss a little with the side bearings to get them as close as possible to the blade without touching. They work as advertised - I get drift free resawing and flexible curve cutting much better than the factory guide system. It is also important to set the blade gullet as near as possible to the center of the wheels. The install pictures could be a little better and the safety shield could be redesigned to cover more of the blade above the guides, but there is no inherent safety issue I can see with what is provided.
