can you use this product under the Malof oil finish?

BEST ANSWER: Yes. I use it regularly under Deft Danish Oil which is a blend of poly and oil very similar to the Maloof finish. It presents blotching on most woods and permits applying a smooth final finish. I use it on small projects and turnings. It drys VERY quickly. This can be a problem on larger projects. Good news it that you can thin it with Lacquer thinner. Hope this helps.

I've used Mylands for over 5 years now, and still love it. I love the convent can it comes in especially when doing wood turning. Will always use hot.

Rapid drying. I cut it 50/50 with lacquer thinner. Use in a well ventilated area (that might be the thinner more than the sealer.) I like thus product.

Love this stuff!
I love this stuff! It makes the wood grain pop and it smooths it out. It is great under the friction polish or under poly!

Sanding Sealer is just sanding sealer
I use this sanding sealer quite frequently when finishing the outside of bowls I'm turning. Going low and slow, I run from 120 to 400-600 Arbanet with a new coat of Mylands Sanding Sealer in between. I really brings out the color of the grain, smooths out the rough patches, and makes finishing easy. Spray Shellac or Lacquer on (or a bit of wax) and people simply cannot keep their hands off that bowl.
