Wooden model a Ford hot rods

Boyd Posted December 4, 2014
This book is full of ways to bend wood. I am using the steam method to bend the wood. In the last three years I have been donating my time with car club in the state of washington. I build models of the clubs hot rods and we auction them off for Christmas and the money we make buys toys for the tots and also supplies our seniors at the old folks home with Christmas dinner. I just ordered your mini lath to help me turning wheels and other parts for the cars. I also ordered your steam genorator to help bend the wood for fenders and deck lid for the model a Ford. The items really helped me with the parts.

The name says it all: if you're interested in learning to make curved forms from wood, this is the book for you. Schleining covers bent lamination techniques, steam bending, and more in great detail. While many other authors continue to teach the hidden art of bending wood the same way they themselves were taught, Schleining debunks persistent myths about how to successfully steam-bend wood and offers tips that help to make the process much more of a certainty than a trial-and-error guessing game.
