Will this bit work with Blum soft close hinge 1/2 inch overlay I'm afraid the back cut might revel the 35mm hole made for hinge?
David F
on Dec 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it almost does. I adjusted the next door by back setting the hole an additional 1/8 inch

Does the cabinet door edge router bit have carbide tips?
Gerald O
on Aug 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is carbide tipped . Make sure you add 1/8 to the width and length. This bit does take a 16th on every side that is if you take a full cut

great profile bit
The bit worked very well in forming the edges of my rail and style doors , drawer fronts and wall plaques. A very close match to the factory made doors I was matching. Worked through both white and red oak with out problems.

This is the best bit for doing cabinet door edges I have ever found. Works well on drawer edges as well. Well worth the price.

Almost perfect match
I built more cabinets in my kitchen and needed to match the edge on existing doors and drawers. I found this in the catalog and tried it out. It matched so close you have to take a second look to tell the difference.

Setting height of bit was harder than I thought.
Most bits I have come with a "guide" or barring. I had trouble getting the edges to be consistent. Once I figured out how to line up the bit the edges came out nice. If there was a way to have a guide or barring on this I believe it would be a lot easier to use. Now I know how to line it up but wish I didn't have to spend as much time as I did (and frustration) to make it look good. Overall, I think this is a nice way to finish off the doors.

First time using this bit.
