Project Description: I glued up 4 walnut & 4 maple strips of 1&5/8" x 1" x 15" long. I alternated the (w,m,w,m,w,m,w,m ). When dry I cut a clean edge then cut into 1 5/8 strips. Then by flipping everyother strip and reglued to look like a checkered board. Then cut a frame to fit and glue again. It looked pretty ugley all glued up. After running through a power sander It was beautiful. Be sure to use a sharp saw blade Time to Build: 1-5 Hours Difficulty: Moderate |
