Project Description: This is custom built-in cabinetry constructed primarily with birch plywoods and poplar lumber. The top is solid maple. Was my first experience with wood dye. There are 6 drawers in the lower cabinet center section for media storage. Design was inspired by a magazine photo of one bookcase with the arch feature under one shelf. Precision was required for the inset doors. I particularly like that the interior surfaces of the open bookcase fit flush to the inside edge of the faceframe. And, the shelves are thick and solid (laminated 3/4 + 1/2 plywood). This combines to give a very clean, finished, "built-in" look. Time to Build: 101-300 Hours Difficulty: Moderate Rockler Parts Used for This Project: 24460 - Golden Brown TransTint® Dye |
