Adirondack loveseat made with douglas fir and cherry |
|
Project Description: This project was made for the outgoing commanding officer of a naval installation. The plans were downloaded from the internet and the hardware was purchased from Rockler. The Douglas Fir started out as 2x10 stock that was ripped down to 3 1/2". I used a plug cutter to make cherry plugs for the seat slats and arms. The structural pieces were joined with biscuits and a few strategically placed pocket holes. I used Gorilla wood glue and put three coats of spar urethane for the final finish. Time to Build: 51-100 Hours Difficulty: Difficult Rockler Parts Used for This Project: 58330 - Glider Brackets, Set of 4 |
