Back Yard Swing With Drink Holders


Drink Holder Folded Up


Project Description:
 I seen a picture on the internet of this type of swing and became interested in building it when I seen the the drink holders. I used 2X6 1" treated deck boards ripped down to an 1 1/4" for the slats. Put a 3/8" round over on each one. Ripped 1" slats for the top and botom contours.Used the Kreg pocket hole system to fasten the arm rest to the uprights. I didn't want to spend to much money on stock (such as redwood)untill I completed one. The most difficult task was finding the pivot point for the drink holder so that it would sit level when in the down position.

Time to Build: 21-50 Hours    Difficulty: Moderate
