Madison Style Baby Bed

Bed made with white oak with steam bent top rails

Project Description:
I built the bed for our Granddaughter. I used the Bead Lock system for joining boards. It made the work so much easier than cutting tenons.I also used the Bead Lock system to cut all the tenons for the rails, then set up a jig and cleaned them out with a square chisel in my drill press. It worked extremely well.I also used threaded inserts and furniture bolts to make a clean look on the outside of the bed. I then finished off the top of each side post with an embossed carving.

Time to Build: 51-100 Hours    Difficulty: Difficult
