Project Description: The Murphy bed and sewing center made it possible to convert a bedroom to a sewing/craft studio. I used knotty alder and Minwax "Dark Walnut" stain. I engineered a track and hinge system to build the fold out table so that the working surface remained exposed and part of the design when folded up in place. The two fold out bed legs from the plan are the inside panels of the two small doors. The 2.5" frames are separate and removed when the legs are deployed.
