Project Description: This project was made using Red Oak. I had alot of fun using the Rockler Fluting Jig and Shelving Jig that I purchased for this project. I also enjoyed using a Rossette Cutter for the first time. The Rossettes were very difucult to cut because I had to build a shop made drill press table in order to clamp my work pieces securely. Also my drill press lowest speed is 600 rpm but the recommended speed for the rossette cutter was 300 rpm. I compensated for this by applying very light, even pressure while cutting the rossettes. This project was built for my sister who has done alot of beautiful picture framing projects for me. She is delighted with her new cabinet. Time to Build: 21-50 Hours Difficulty: Difficult Rockler Parts Used for This Project: 24060 - 8-1/4'' X 11-3/4'' Aluminum Rockler Router Table Plates, Group A 28636 - Router Fluting Jig 35151 - JIG IT® Shelving Jig & 5mm Bit Set |
