Overview of Finished Clock |

Project Description: This Grandfather clock finishes out at seven feet tall, and is a beautiful piece. I built mine using ash lumber and English Chestnut stain, and many coats of polyurethane varnish. Once complete, I decided to take it another step and had the bottom door glass etched to coordinate with the design on the face of the clock itself. As an afterthought, we had our family name etched into the bottom of the door as well. This project is one I have long wanted to do, and although I put in many hours, now that it is complete, I have the satisfaction of having created a NEW family heirloom. Time to Build: 21-50 Hours Difficulty: Difficult Rockler Parts Used for This Project: 30286 - Grandfather Clock Plan 43055 - Mission Clock Movement |
