Doesn't last forever

When it is good (new) it is very good, when it is bad (2-3 years) it is useless. That about sums it up, other than to say that it is very expensive. I got a 10" long DuoSharp probably 5 years ago and used it a couple of times a month on chisels and planes. A couple of years in and the grit was worn down in the center 2" x 8" so that it hardly cut better than an oil stone. You can buy a lot of sand paper to sharpen with for $, or go ahead and buy almost two of these 8" sharpeners for this price.

My DMT Duosharp fine/xfine is one heck of a sharpening system. The wide surface gives me plenty of room to sharpen on and the diamond grit cuts FAST! If you would rather be woodworking than sharpening, but appreciate sharp tools, go with the DMT... it's an awesome system!
