excellent product, but watch the measurements

This is a great unit. I'm really impressed with the heavy-gauge steel, and even the vacuum port is metal, not plastic. I got it with the accessory dual port, and I'm amazed at how well the chips and dust are drawn-off. I hadn't expected such a level of control. All in all, the unit rates 5 starts, HOWEVER, I'm giving it 4 to draw attention to a problem with the measurements provided online. The width is listed as 13." That's true of the bucket itself, but the mounting flanges add another 3 inches. As a result, it would not fit under my shop-made and permanently benchtop-installed router table. Fortunately, because of the nature of the unit, it was easy to reassemble it with the flanges on the inside of the box, but then there was nothing to mount them to on the underside of my table. I had to construct a frame and install that before installing the box, working through the access door to tighten the mounting screws. Much of this required positions better left to plumbers than to my aging frame. Instead of a simple 1-hour installation, I spent much of the day on it. The end product, though, was well worth the effort. I'm rather glad that I didn't know the actual dimension, or I might not have tried to come up with a solution to the problem, and I'm really glad I got it.

The assembly went well until the very last step. The hole in the sheet metal which is intended to accept the grommet to protect the router power cord was too large for a proper fit and won't retain the grommet.

Quality of the Dust Bucket was excellent except for three things: 1) the cord grommet had to be modified to stay in the opening! 2) additional support is required when connecting the Dust Right Quick Connect Handle to the Dust Right Router Table Dual Port as the weight of the handle and attached hose pulls the Dual Port right out of the dust bucket, and 3) the Dust Bucket didn't fit my Kreg Router table. I had to add 3/4' Wood blocking to the underside of the Kreg Router table in order to have a flat surface to mount the Dust Bucket. After all the modifications, the Dust Bucket works extremely well. Only a minuscule amount of dust escaped and that was because I didn't have any 2 1/2" hose clamps for the Router Table Dust Hose (#34203). The clamps did not come with the hose and nothing in the catalog indicated that the clamps needed to be ordered separately. The clamps should be included with the 2 1/2" hose so one can complete the installation without having to stop and order other parts. Overall, I'm very happy with how the product works now.

Product was as advertised but the amount of time needed to change bits which requires pulling the cord in, removing the dust bucket, then unhooking the router made the bucket less than ideal. Built quality appeared average and the need to provide screws to attach it was another step to chase down. This product is most likely suited for a table with a lift to make bit changes something not involving 30 min of work.

Great product! Well built. Screw holes line up perfectly for easy assembly. I am using this with a Incra Wonderfence and a 3HP cyclone DC. There are absolutely no observable uncollected dust or chips. Thanks!
