Overview

These two auxiliary ports complement those already included in the Universal Small Port Hose Kit (#48212, sold separately). The inside diameters are slightly smaller, allowing you to fit the dust hose onto an even wider variety of tools. As with the originals, the flexible rubber stretches slightly, and conforms easily to oddly shaped ports. The other end of each port threads securely into the stretch hose included with the Universal Small Port Hose Kit.

Will the smaller port fit onto a Makita 5" random orbit sander model BO5030? The outer diameter of its dust port is 7/8"

BEST ANSWER: The main kit 48212 fits my Festool midi dust extractor. It screws into the Festool's hose.
How can the port inside diameter be 1 1/4" and the outside diameter be 1 1/4" also? This is in your schematic drawing.

BEST ANSWER: The hard black end attaches to the 1 1/4 inch vacuum system the blue end is flexible. The one in question has 1 1/4 opening on both ends but the blue can expand a little more. The thins are great. the allow you to attach dust collection to different tools.DF

BEST ANSWER: The pictured fittings,screw into the supplied hose,which through an adapter,will fit a shop vac's 1 1/4 hose opening. If you do not have the hose that came with the larger fittings,you'll need it,for these to work.

BEST ANSWER: yhr dust right auxiliary port has a 11/2 opening and will fit the hose with the connecting parts that come with the hose

BEST ANSWER: I don't have either one of those brands but I think they are all the same and the attachment stretches so pretty sure it would work

Perfect Fit
I am so glad you decided to make the Auxiliary Hose Parts. The original ports did not fit my Makita random orbital sander. One of the new ones fits perfectly.

Fits the bill
Wanted something that would fit my Makita ROS, and this worked perfectly. Since I already had the original small port kit and hose, it was an easy addition. If you have the small port kit and find that you still have a few tools it doesn't fit, I'd recommend giving this a shot.
