useful, but not for the purpose intended

I agree with other reviewers regarding the weight. It's too heavy to use as shown. But I still have put it to good use. It's attached to my table saw which I have to move around sometimes because of the size of my shop. the hose can then expand to reach the saw regardless of where it's located in my shop. And it compacts down to a small size when I move the saw back

I was shocked to see it split at both ends!! I haven't even used it to its full stretch. Kinda disappointed.

I was all excited to use this hose based on previous customer reviews and am thoroughly disappointed. After about a month in use the hose separated at the seam at the dust collector. I had to cut about 8" of hose off and reconnect to the collector. At first I thought maybe the way I connected it to my dust collector was causal: the hose made an immediate bend off the collector, which was possibly putting undo stress on it. I reconfigured my dust collector so the intake port faced downward and reconnected the hose and about 2 weeks later it happened again. This is a heavy hose and seemed of good quality but the way it is separating makes me think it is defective.

I have owned this product for 6 months. The hose is pretty heavy and it is well made. In general I like this product. However in the past few months the hose has lost about half of its spring and does not retract as nicely as it used to.

I like the concept but I was disappointed right out of the box. The 4 in. 21 ft. hose weighs 8-10 lbs.. When connected to my system (pipes are in ceiling) the weight of the hose causes it hang down to the floor with the excess lying on the floor. It is OK for a stationary tool but doesn't work well with a floor sweep (too heavy and bulky to pull around).
