WunderCote water-based clear wood finish is the ideal finish for furniture and table tops. You'll create a hard, durable polyurethane finish that is non-yellowing and fast-drying - it can be sanded and re-coated in 60-120 minutes. With a slight amber cast to closely resemble solvent-based finishes. Plus, WunderCote is easy to apply: simply wipe on, pad on or use foam rubber brush.

WunderCote has a slight amber tint that will appear more like a varnish finish, unlike some water-based polyurethanes that tend to look like a plastic finish. Non-yellowing, hard, durable polyurethane finish is easy to apply. Can be brushed on with foam brushes, applied with sponge-type pad, or simply wipe on with lint-free cotton rag. Fast-drying - can be sanded and re-coated in 60-120 minutes. Non-yellowing. No offensive order. Choose from semi-gloss or gloss, available in 8 oz. or 16 oz. bottles. Coverage is 600 square feet per gallon.

Outstanding product. I use it on woodcarving projects and it has the perfect viscosity for allowing flow control. It can be controlled to either go into deep cuts or just coat the uncarved surfaces. The finish is perfect.

We have used other products, and this is absolutely the best on the market. The easiest to use with the best professional end result. We now use it on all of our woodworking projects; it is so good that we special order it from Rockler because we don't have a store near us. It is also very durable, as we used it to finish our custom made wooden floor thresholds to transition from wood floor to carpet, and they get a lot of wear, but still look great.

I searched around and tried a half dozen modern wood finishes before picking WonderCote as the finish for my custom designed and built ukuleles. I knew there had to be a better alternative to the standard nitrocellulose instrument lacquer systems. WonderCote flows on nicely, dries fast, cleans up with water, and hardens to a finish that can be polished to a mirror shine. What would take me three weeks with lacquer only takes 2 or 3 days with WonderCote. Great stuff!

I have used WunderCote for about three years on various furniture projects, and without a doubt it surpasses any finish I`ve used in the past, easy to work with and leaves the desired finish I like in the end product, as long as Rockler sells it I`ll always use it.

Love the finish this gives to our wood products. It dries quickly and with three coats gives a bright hard finish.

I have tried numerous clear finishes, but none as easy and quick to use as Wundercote. Dries very quickly, has a very, very lsight amber color which looks very good. The only draw back over an oil based polyurethane is that Wundercote requires at least five or six coats to give you a good gloss finish. But since the drying time is so fast, it's not really a problem. I also found that if you use 400 grit sandpaper between coats (instead of the recommended 220 grit) it allows you to build-up the finish faster. All in all, a great product!

This product surprised me with its excellent qualities. It was the easiest to apply of all (about nine) products I tested. It dries fast enough to apply two coats almost consecutively. I wiped it on, which left rag irregularities that required sanding flat, which was easily done. The finish was very clear, very hard, and easy to bring to a perfect, smooth surface. following 400 grit sanding, I used Nova plastic polish as a last step, applied with a felt pad and a random orbit sander. On my maple workpieces, it produced a finish that looks very 'right' and not so 'plasticky' looking like many finishes. I expect to use it regularly. A really wonderful product, but I don't care much for the silly name.
