First time I used Gel Stain. Used the cherry stain on a night stand made from cherry hardwood. The stain goes on easy. Quart goes a long way, used less than 20% of the can in 3 coats. Applied with a brush and wiped off with a cloth. This stain does not have much of a smell which is also nice and makes less of a mess then a traditional stain.

Cherry goes on great. Tried oak, I swear it looks like cherry. Could not tell the difference on test board. Before buying open the can to see if there is any difference between the two. Product mislabel?
