The quarter-sawn white oak is very good quality, with many of the pieces having excellent ray-flecking. Great customer service. New wood handrail and pony-wall room divider

I could have done just as well purchasing from the local lumber yard. I should have learned by now that if you want the best, you have to visually hand pick your wood and not rely on someone else.

Needed 8/4 quarter sawn high quality white oak for a Morris chair project to be entered in a woodworking show in Saratoga Springs, NY. With nothing more than 4/4 available anywhere in a 4 hour radius, the project would have otherwise been abandoned. Thanks Rockler.

6) Submitted by Michael Anderson, from Pasadena, CA on 4/20/2008 Customer Rating: I didn't want to go to the trouble of making four quadralinear legs for a small Stickley side table even though I have the lock miter bit from a previous project, so I ordered four pieces of 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 quartersawn white oak. Wood arrived promptly in good condition, but only one piece had noticeable ray fleck. Table came out well but looks a little odd. I just turn it so the good leg is out.
