Delivered in great condition, as ordered. The wood was well matched in color and grain. All of this is no surprise to me: it's what I've come to expect from Rockler

Fairly nice wood. Cuts and milling were accurate. Finish was a little rough.
My biggest disappointment was the description of the wood said quarter sawn. Some if it was, but most of it was plane sawn. That's a big difference. The graining is radically different between the two types so it doesn't match well. I used it anyway, but I was disappointed.

Editor's note: Please note that all lumber sold in this offering will be cut in a quarter sawn manner. The graining difference the reviewer refers to is common in a quarter sawn oak, but the extent and sizing of the flecks in the grain can vary depending on the size and growth rate of the log. It is possible for oak to be quarter sawn and produce little or no cross grain flecks.

The product is generally good; however, your selection (packaging) process could use a bit more quality control. I purchased these materials for a single cabinet re-facing project; but, due to the mismatched tones of the pieces (i.e. three of the six are too dark to use) I cannot complete my project until I get replacements.
