Wood was straight and flat, easy to cut and machined perfectly. It only had one little knot which I cut around. The remaining wood was a very nice specimen. I will order again. I am using it for a coin map project I ran short on.

I was looking for a thin, 1/8" maple for laser cutting. Unfortunatly, about 3 of the peices (out of 10) I ordered will probably be to warped to use. However I currently have them weighted down and will see how they turn out.

I have projects that uses about any size and shape of thin maple (I haven't found a use for the sawdust). Of all the purchases of this type of wood, I have only received one piece with a knot hole making about six square inches unusable.
The only other defect I have found are band marks caused by binding bundles of the wood. As far as warping, that can happen during shipping time. It happens in my shop if I don't store it properly.

The wood sent had numerous defects which surprised me based on the price. Go to the lumber yard and take the guess work out of it.

I would not have expected to receive such a badly defective product. The 1/8" maple was so badly cupped I could do nothing the fix it.

The maple I received had a few more knots the I would of expected. This resulted in a challenge to find enough clear grain for my project. Might of been better to hand pick the pieces from a local lumber yard.
