The was no need for excessive scrapping or sanding as all side were free of heavy milling marks. Best way to buy wood is by the inch if you want to save money.

I only needed to resaw some pieces because they did not have certain widths in the catalog. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the wood and the delivery was fast. I have ordered wood twice from Rockler and each time has been excellent.

5) Submitted by Jim, from Huntington Beach, CA on 7/8/2008 Customer Rating: All four sides were rough, pitted, and saw/burn marks. A little sanding and the wood was in good shape. The quality of lumber was good. But, I recommend to sharpen their saw blades more frequently. I made the mistake of ordering four 15" pieces rather than one 60" piece. None of the grains or color matched. My previous orders have been good. Don't know what happened to this order. It was either Monday morning or late Friday afternoon when they cut this lumber.
