If you can iron you can apply Edgemate! Just position edge banding and heat with either our hand held iron or edge banding machine. This item backing creates a permanent bond. Then simply cut and trim edging to make plywood look like solid stock. Accepts stains and finishes.

First time I used it, perfect results. I used my instant read kitchen meat thermometer to check the temperature of my old clothes iron. Application temperature was approximately 310 to 320 degrees. could even lift the edging and re-apply when one piece slipped to the side. Used a 1 1/2" thick wood disk as a roller for the edge and to press over the corner.

I have never used the iron-on product before, but it saved a lot of time and cleanup. The material is the perfect size, line up one edge and trim off the other edge, sand and it looks like part of the wood. The product was very easy to use, if a mistake is made, just reheat and shift. The only "con" that I see is I would have liked to see more grain in the edging.

I have not used this product yet, but have used it in the past. It is an excellent way to use "cabinet grade" birch to build furniture and make it look like solid boards.

The adhesive has changed since I last purchased the product and it does work ok. I think the old adhesive was better, but the product is still good. I like the width of the strip - it is much better than the Home Depot strip that is exactly 3/4" wide. The extra width on the Edgemate helps make a good quality job. It can be overhung, trimmed with a Stanley knife and then sanded to make an edge that is invisible from a solid board.

Great Product - and great service. Easy to use and makes a 3/4 inch maple plywood piece look like a maple board at half the price.

Very good product. Easy to use, compared to edge banding that I had to apply glue this is the one we'll use from now on.
