Over the years, wooden bookcase boxes which were bolted to the wall in our library settled, leaving a gap between the back of the case & wall. Since they were also secured to neighboring cases, which remained tight, rebolting would mean throwing the whole configuration off, adding new gaps. Finishing this tape to match the wood & appying it up the whole length of the case's side to cover & hide the gap solved the problem beautifully & easily! Didn't even need to move one book. Now I can think of so many other applications for this great product!

Excellent Product! I was very skeptic when I purchased this, concerned mostly by how it was going look and how strong the adhesive was going to be. A+ for both. I lightly sanded the edges of my 3/4 plywood sheet, brushed-off the dust by hand (you shouldn't do this, but the glue still worked great), applied the edging, shaved-off the excess with my razor knife and had a professional looking finish under 5 minutes. Highly recommended.

We wanted to change the color and appearance of our bath vanities-dress them up. They looked cheap and because the frames are made of plastic covered particle board they could not be refinished. I removed the plastic frame edging and replaced it with your edging.Normally I use your iron on edging but due to confined space and risk of melting bumper strips on the cabinetry and in adjacent areas I could not use an iron to set the glue-so I used pressure sensitive.I also used your pressure sesitive oak veneer sheets to cover the large areas-such as the knee space, kick plates and ends of the units. Both products stick on firmly take stain and a urethane finish very well.We have done all kitchen cabinets as well and it all worked great.I trust Rockler's products.

I agree with most of the other positives so I'll only mention why I'm only giving three stars. One, the instructions don't make a distinction between whether you have the iron on or the pressure sensitive so it's confusing. Two, it doesn't give what I would consider a strong stick with just pressure; I ended up doing a quick iron pass to get the adhesive in the grain of the board and this helped substantively. Three, if you order online, your color matching is kind of a crap-shoot. I got two wheels of light birch and one of dark heart wood. I actually wanted the dark stuff but either way, it's tough to have two very different colors. Maybe I should have called and seen if I could request that. And FYI-for all the calibrating of the veneer cutters, I'd still go that route; I used a flush router bit and the glue gumming caused some hassle. All that said, it's a great quality veneer and after my iron pass is on solid. I may go normal glue next time and buy in person if I can't request a color match over the phone.

I found that the adhesive is not that good. I, too, need to iron it after it had been applied. I first used pressure and taped it in place but had problem with it failing to adhere. Notably, when it arrived I wasn't sure it was the correct product because in the center of the package it labeled it as "iron on." The only designation on the package that it was pressure sensitve was "PSA" on a sticker on the package. Given the glue, I'd go with iron on next time.
