I though this was an excellent project. But I was disapointed in the plans when I found out that the plans didn't tell you how many[total]board feet you need to build it or a cutting chart like the plans I get from plans are us. And the fact I couldn't download them direct. Over all great set of plans.

Very fun project that can be adapted to one's needs or tool size. These were built as Christmas presents (1 for tools and 1 for medicine. I would recommend this
as a great project for many uses. If you do use the hardware suggested for this box be sure to buy 3/8" and 1/2" screws to replace the ones that come with the hardware. The first box the screws just come through. Happy woodworking and have fun.

The box came out nicely. My only opinion regarding the plans is that the material list leaves a lot to be desired. It is confusing and somewhat difficult to read. I am more used to [a shopping] list, which shows exactly what you need to buy rather than incorporating [material dimensions list] in the instructions.

It is an OK set of plans, but not the best I've ever purchased. Everything is printed on one side of a piece of heavy white paper, ~24" wide x ~36" tall . You get a three dimensional exploded view of the chest plus two dimensional drawings showing front and side elevations. There are also two dimensional section views showing details of the joinery. The Bill of Materials lists materials, quantities, dimensions and required machining, but a cut-list drawing showing suggested sizes for purchasing rough lumber would have been helpful. Written instructions were minimal. If you are used to working on the type of detailed plans printed in Wood Magazine, you may be disappointed.

It was a fun lil tool box to keep all my little treasures in.
